Technical Features
- 800-Lumen Output – Powered by a Cree XML U2 LED, producing up to 4x the brightness of most running headlamps for unmatched low-light visibility.
- Optimized Beam Positioning – Waist-mounted design projects light at hip level, improving ground contrast, revealing shadows, and eliminating upward glare common with headlamps.
- Battery Performance – Rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery (2600mAh, 3.6V) delivers up to 8 hours of runtime on low and high mode; provides continuous brightness with a 2-hour recharge via USB.
- Lighting Modes – Three settings (high, low, strobe) allow runners to adapt beam intensity for training, racing, or visibility in traffic.
- Weight Distribution – At 5.6 oz, the unit secures directly into the FlipBelt, centered at the body’s core for zero bounce and improved stability over head-mounted systems.

I was hesitant to purchase the running light because it was pricey. Turns out it’s a life saver literally it’s well balanced, and projects a lot of light right in my path and allows me to go out on winter nights when it gets dark so early I highly recommend treating yourself.
For me, the #1 priority for a belt-mounted running light like this is stability: I can't stand having anything around my waist bounce around as I run. unfortunately, this doesn't quite stay in place as firmly as I'd like. This could be a function of the flipbelt itself (which has a tendency to ride up after a few minutes of running, but, regardless, the system doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. That all being said, the light is perfectly bright for providing much-needed ground visibility during night and evening runs and is the perfect height to do so without worrying I'm going to blind any passersby. All in all, I'd say if the Flipbelt has been super stable for you, this light might be a perfect addition to your existing setup, but, for me, it's a little pricey (to be honest, it's fairly expensive in general relative to other wearable running lights) for how often I end up needing to adjust it.
I use this for night trail running and it provides plenty of light with a battery that lasts for around 10 miles of running. Although it is heavy you don’t feel it bounce with it being held in the flipbelt.
I loved this light when I first got it. I loved it so much that when it started malfunctioning 2 years later I bought a second one. I use when I run and when I walk my dog and thought the daily use ran its lifetime out faster. But the second one started malfunctioning like the first one did after just 3 months. I bought a different light from a different company at a third of the cost. Don’t waste your money.
I rely on this fantastic light in the early winter mornings but my light has broken. Are they coming back into stock?
