Customers praised these lightweight, breathable running shorts with integrated 360° waistband storage for phones, keys, and gels. Many called them "the best shorts ever" for running. However, some noted concerns about belt rolling, items slipping out when wet, potential chafing on long runs, and sizing running small.
Got these for my husband and he hasn’t taken them off since he got them. He LOVES them and said he won’t wear any other work out shorts after having these. He reports that they “feel like you’re wearing nothing” and are extremely comfortable. Happy hubby is a five star review in my book! He is 6ft, 180 and typically wears a large and I ordered him a large in these.

Fantastic running/exercising shorts for movement and lounging
I love these shorts. I sized up and they fit great. They have a really useful phone pouch to hold your phone or keys or wallet or whatever securely in the front, and they work very well. The side pockets are also nice to use when lounging around to hold things or for your hands, but they don't keep things in place when running. The material is thin and lightweight - really like them and they don't have built-in underwear so you can wear your own. I like the color and length too; longer than typical running shorts. These are definitely not too tight on the legs, plenty of room for movement. Worth the price.

Premium feel and build men's running shorts
The FlipBelt men's air running shorts come with a 360 degree pocket system for storage. These shorts have great construction and made with quality materials. The material used is a nylon and spandex blend which feels ultra lightweight while wearing. These shorts will keep you cool to help wick away sweat while running helping to prevent chaffing. The stretchy material provides a nice relaxed fit while being very breathable. They come with a multiple elastic mesh pockets in a 360 degree pattern around the waistband large enough for your energy gels, keys or a wallet. On the front right side of the shorts you have a zippered pocket big enough for keys or a place to place your airports case. The waistband has a nice elastic band with an average size drawstring for added tightness. These shorts reach a all the way down to the top of your knees. After using theses shorts on several runs there hasn't been any visible degradation after multiple uses and washes. As a 200lbs waist size 35 U.S. 5'10" man the large fit just well enough if you like a more relaxed fit recommend sizing up. Overall these shorts offer a premium feel but the price is a bit high compared to other comparable shorts.

Like a "Go-Go Gadget" of pockets.. Ha! tactical shorts for an athlete! Size runs EXACT!!!
Flipbelt is such a solid brand- I'm always impressed at the forethought that goes into their design.. and these shorts don't disappoint!! Ha, it's like tactical gear for an athlete.. you truly have a smart, thought out, secure spot for everything!! Zip, slide, reinforced pockets + pouches work perfectly.Whew- NO mesh liner! We've found shorts run exact or, even a tad small and liner usually hinders! This fit is exact! So, if wanting wiggle room.. I suggest you up size. Large fit: 32yr male, 5'8", 170lb. with length x3" above knee, roomy thru seat and 34" waist is spot on with ties to secure the hold.Easy care: machine wash cool- and we line dry to avoid shrinkage. Lichen is solid earth tone with small reflective add-ons. Arrives with giftable presentation and clean reinforced seams to handle daily wear/tear. See up close pics for visual- Hooing this info can help you.. stay safe.

Amazing quality -- but you might want to size up!
I've become a huge fan of FlipBelt for women's running apparel over the past year, so when I saw these, I thought they would be perfection for my hubby. Now that's it's warming up, he's wanting to get outside and run more and these looked like they fit the bill. First, these come in a fancy bag -- definitely a good first impression and great for gift giving. These are also a USA based (Colorado) company, and I absolutely love supporting their local business. Now onto the shorts .... We can start with sizing, because that was probably our fault, but it's something to be aware of. My husband is a size L (sometimes an XL, but rarely). We ordered a size L and he wishes we had gone up to an XL. I would say they fit snug (much like the women's designs) and fit more like a M/L. You don't want them loose because the waistband needs to be tight enough to hold your goodies, but that's really not possible with these. My advice -- order a size up (I wish we had). The quality of these is amazing. My husband is still going to try to make these work because they feel so good. Super lightweight material, absolutely no risk of chafing that we can see. And very functional pockets in the band, which is what this brand is known for. He also really loves the color of these too -- a great greyish blue.Incredible shorts from a team who know what runners need. Don't hesitate on these, just be careful with sizing!

I want to love these running shorts, but I have a belly and the belt rolls too easily. The pockets work great for bulky items like a cell phone or keys that stretch the seam to make them stay put, even when the belt gets sweaty. The zippered pocket works great for securing small items like earbuds. But some time during the 5k race yesterday, my driver's license slipped out of the front left pocket when it got sweaty and rolled over. I didn't notice my license was gone until I got home after the race. ... I was very surprised and disappointed that this occurred. The reason I bought three more pairs of FlipBelt Air shorts was because all my stuff fell out of a competitor's belted shorts every time I sat on the toilet, which didn't happen with the FlipBelt.

ightweight and breathable

This running gear is legit! After putting it through its paces on a few long runs, I gotta say, the design and materials are seriously pro-level. It's incredibly lightweight and breathable, like it's barely even there. No more sweaty cling, even on those humid days, which is a huge win. The waistband storage is a game-changer – phone, gels, keys, it all fit snugly with absolutely zero bounce. Super comfortable, no chafing at all, and the pockets are cleverly designed for easy access. Definitely a reliable brand for runners. Highly recommended!

Really Great, with a Couple Caveats
I've been running with a Flipbelt for about three years now, and it's a pretty awesome piece of gear. Even running marathons, I've never had to worry about being unprepared. These shorts take that concept and integrate it into the actual bottoms, and they're mostly successful. The material feels great and I didn't experience any chaffing. The fit was accurate and the color is great. One nice upgrade from the classic flipbelt is the small zippered compartment that's perfect for your keys and a transit card in case you botch something on your run and need to catch a bus back home.My two complaints: While the mesh pockets DO feel relatively secure, they're just open-topped mesh netting. With the classic Flipbelt, there's a small slit in the midpoint of the belt. That feels incredibly secure, I feel like I could fall off a cliff and nothing would move in that belt. The version that's integrated into these shorts feels slightly less secure to me. Do I honestly worry something will fly out of the top? No, not really, but I still would insist that, under stress testing, they're somewhat less safe. On the other hand, this DOES make items easier to grab without having to think about fishing them through a tiny slit, so I suppose your needs may dictate your preference here.My final issue is that, well, they're maybe a little overpriced for what you're getting. For $40 I'd recommend these, no question. $50, probably. At $70 I feel you'd have to be absolutely certain these are the perfect shorts for you. And maybe they are! I'll certainly use them regularly. Just make sure this is what best services your needs before dropping all that on these.

Better Than My UA Shorts
Been wearing UA shorts for years because I liked their weight, length, and color selection. However they were too lightweight to carry anything heavier than a gnat in the pockets over a couple of miles before they started to fall down. So here I was at the Denver Colfax expo and I see these shorts with built in pockets at the waistline. I was skeptical about the brand, quality and shorter length but after wearing them on a short run, I really liked them. They are comfortable, well made, and the front pocket held my large phone just fine. I’ll be buying more pairs in the future.

Lightweight and comfortable for running
I’ve worn these shorts on a few runs already and they feel really comfortable. The material is lightweight and breathable, especially during warmer weather. I like that they move well without feeling restrictive or bulky. The fit is athletic without being too tight. Overall, they’re great running shorts for everyday training. The storage solution in the waist is the best thing as i can carry my phone with no bounce in addition to gels and keys, etc. Perfect addition to running attire.

Great if they could stay dry
These are great when first trying on and before the run but about halfway through 8 mile run they were soaked and stuck causing chafe which has not happened to me ever before with different shorts. And yes I even wore a pair of tights under. I will stick to there tights which are great

Lightweight and good features, but still prefer shorts plus FlipBelt
I have had a FlipBelt with a zippered compartment for almost a year now. It has been an essential part of my running kit since I picked up running again a year ago. I was excited to see the they had shorts with integrated pouches, like my FlipBelt. The center pouch fits my phone, an iPhone 13 mini with a case. What’s missing is the lanyard that I usually clip my keys to. These shorts have a small zippered pocket, that’s where I tucked away my keys. The other part that was different was that I like to twist my belt so my phone isn’t centered on my waist. I prefer it slightly off to the side as that seems to prevent any bounce, and I don’t feel my phone at all during my run. However, since I can’t really twist the integrated portion of these shorts around, the phone stays centered, and I can feel it during my runs. Nothing bothersome, like having it in a side or back pocket, but not as invisible as the FlipBelt. The material of the shorts is really nice: Thin and lightweight. I do like that even with the integrated pouches, these shorts still have side pockets. I have the dark brown color, and it’s really sharp!Overall, I think I’m going to pack these shorts when I’m traveling for a lighter weight ensemble for running. Although it’s nice to have the shorts and pouches integrated into one, I do prefer having the adjustability of the stand alone FlipBelt.

Lightweight, Functional & Great for Running
These FlipBelt Men’s Air Running Shorts are lightweight, breathable, and packed with thoughtful features that make them great for running, workouts, or active days. The fabric feels ultra-light and comfortable, especially in warmer or humid weather, helping keep things cooler and less clingy during longer runs. The liner-free design and 360° waistband storage are DEFINITELY standout feature. There’s plenty of room to securely hold essentials like a phone, keys, gels, and even a small water bottle without uncomfortable bouncing, making them super versatile for workouts or long-distance runs. The multiple secure pockets are another huge plus. Between the thigh pockets, zip pocket, and divided compartments, it’s easy to organize essentials and grab what you need quickly while moving. The sweat-wicking waistband helps keep things comfortable and dry, while the drawcord keeps the fit secure and in place. Reflective accents are also a thoughtful touch for early morning or evening runs. One thing to note is they run slightly small, though they still fit. If you prefer a roomier fit or are between sizes, sizing up may be worth considering.Pros:✔️ Lightweight and breathable fabric✔️ Convenient 360° waistband storage✔️ Multiple secure pockets for essentials✔️ Comfortable sweat-wicking waistband✔️ Secure fit with drawcord✔️ Reflective accents for visibility✔️ Great for running, workouts, and warm weatherCons:➖ Runs slightly smallOverall, a comfortable and feature-packed pair of running shorts that balance lightweight comfort, storage, and functionality really well!
