First off, I have the Men's Compression Ouray and regular half tights and they've been a solid performer on runs for me. I thought the Alpine thermals and ultimate thermals would provide the same performance . While I think the material finish, pockets, and color choices are excellent, I feel these tights don't fit right in several areas. Since I wear small in the half tights, I bought both small and medium in the full tights. The smalls felt OK at the waist but came up well short of my ankles. While the mediums felt a little longer, the high waist and bunching of material at the crotch made these tights unworkable for me. The seamless seat area feels like it sits too high on the waist and doesn't provide the right freedom of movement around the crotch. I feel like maybe a separate panel for the crotch would allow the tights to move more independently. Additionally, maybe a regular and a long length would help for taller users as a 24 or 25 inch Inseam is too short for coverage on people with longer legs, especially in cold weather. As I said before, I really do like the color choices, it really branches out from a bland black or dark gray colors of other brands. Fix the fit and I'll buy these again next season!
Comfortable and warm and can hold what I need! Great for winter distance running in northern NY state!
I finally found a pair of winter tights that actually stay put and hold everything I need. The 360-degree waistband is a game changer—I can fit my phone, keys, and several gels without any annoying bounce. The 280gsm thermal fleece is perfect for sub-freezing temps; it keeps my muscles warm without causing me to overheat during high-intensity intervals. If you're tired of carrying a separate running belt over your tights, these are exactly what you need.
I mean this one is just not good. I I have rash on my thighs since wearing these. First thing that failed from this company. Definitely not worth the purchase.
I own 4 pairs of FlipBelt running shorts and I've been quite pleased with them. I therefore asked my wife to buy me a pair of these thermal pants for cold weather running as a Christmas gift. I was very disappointed to find that they didn't fit AT ALL like the shorts. The crotch hung 5 inches low, bunching the fabric between my thighs. To get the crotch up to the right height, the waistband had to be pulled up to my rib cage.
Sadly, I had removed the tags with the assumption that they would fit like the shorts, and now FlipBelt will not accept a return or exchange. I definitely should have tested them first, because I'm now stuck with a very expensive shop rag.
