I have the Ouray and regular compression shorts for running in size Small and they were excellent. I therefore bought these ultimate and Alpine thermal tights expecting the same fit and performance. I was wrong. While the material quality is good, the fit is very off. The seat is a lot higher than the shorts, so the waistline sits at my belly button and that's not comfortable. Additionally, they made these at crop tight length so they come up well short of the ankles. That's unacceptable when you're buying something for coverage in cold weather. I tried a size bigger with Medium but the extra material bunches at the crotch due to the inflexibility in movement with the seamless crotch. I returned all pairs. My recommendation: shorter seat, better fit for men's anatomy, and maybe offer 2 lengths. Keep the colors, I like the creativity and I prefer brighter colors contrasting against the snow. For now I'll stick to my 2XU and Lululemon thermal tights but would gladly try the next iteration of these tights as I think the flipbelt pocket setup is better
It may be the thermal material they use. Both pairs of thermal tights I purchased caused a skin rash after a simple 8-mile run. This was surprising, as I’ve run several half marathons and even distances up to 40 miles in their half tights without ever experiencing skin irritation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend their thermal tights.
I would say the material is super nice and they are definitely warm, but I do have a second that the crotch is way too low and needs to be higher but the pockets and stuff are great. Or possibly an internal liner that would give support because I’ve had issues with chasing, but I’ve never had in any of my years of running due to the low crotch.
I have purchased several products from Flitbelt, including a belt, shorts, water bottles, and most recently, the Men's Alpine Ultra Thermal Compression Tights. I have three observations to share about these tights: first, the material is excellent; second, the pockets are very practical; however, the fit in the crotch area is too low. I've had to pull them up above my lower belly to achieve a proper fit, and even then, they still tend to slip down.
Its looser than i wanted. Probably should have gotten extra small albeit these are pretty comfy on my morning runs.
