These are the shortest shorts I've owned. But they're also perfect for running, swimming or tanning. The belt part holds my phone securely while running. Also a gel or two. They're short, but that's good for true athletic style shorts
I'm new to the compression shorts arena. It was a confidence thing for me, but the more I saw dudes wearing them the more I wanted to try them myself. Running shorts either have all the storage you need, but are baggy for my little legs. The otherside of the equation is that they have no storage at all. I was over it, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. Insert Flipbelt...
A pocket on each leg for your phone and other items. The pocket in the back is perfect for your phone as well and all the gosh darn snacks you could ever dream of. A zippered pocket for your keys or headphones on the left is nice for peace of mind as you log miles. The grippers on the legs to make sure they don't slip is literally magical. Modesty pouch up front is a must, and they have it. The tie on the outside of the shorts in the front is exactly what I want too. I hate having the ties on the inside of my shorts. So that feature is oddly a huge win for me. There isn't as much room for gel storage on these as there are in the Ouray Compression shorts (I own both), but I do like these a tad better personally despite the lack of storage.
The only thing I do wish Flipbelt offered either in these or separately is a liner. I've rocked these up to 5 miles with nothing underneath, and it wasn't bad. But over 9 is a different story. I've worn something underneath ever since.
Another thing I will say is that when it's pretty hot and humid I feel like these don't dry off very fast from my experience. My shorts were SOAKED. So I transitioned my phone from my leg pocket to the back storage area, because I didn't want it to get moisture damage from how sweaty I was.
Finally, that price... bro. I can't even be upset with the price. For the amount of storage you get, features they have, how they fit, and how they feel as you're running. Win, win, win, and win.
I love FlipBelts compression shorts and they just keep getting better. I love having the two side pockets one for my phone and one for a water bottle.
Can't wait to run in these and hold everything in one spot
Wore these in a recent marathon and they were great! Pockets are plenty big to hold all your fuel and tight enough so there was no bouncing. Fantastic shorts!
