Customers praised the lightweight, breathable fabric and excellent storage capacity. Many noted "most comfortable shorts" with secure pockets for phone and gels. However, significant concerns include very short length, inconsistent phone pocket fit (especially larger phones), excessive bouncing with heavier items, and sizing issues running small or loose.

Great fit but the back pocket didn’t keep my iPhone snug. It bounced around and i had to carry it and my water bottle. Got a skin burn during the time it was back there.

So light and airy
So light and airy. Easily holds my phone, my keys and my AirPods case. There is a tiny bit of bounce that takes some getting used to, but it doesn't bother me after the first half mile or so. I wish the outer mesh of the belt was a bit tighter, but other than that, happy with this purchase.

Awesome- just short!
Yeah- these are very short- really short. So short I almost returned them, but then I ran it these with my iPhone 16 plus- no bounce- awesome shorts.I’ll use these for half and marathons but will be getting the other flipbelt shorts for training. I don’t think the community will allow short-shorts every day!!! lol!!!

These are great. Although, I would have went with the other 2 styles if I’d have known this new style compression did away with the front storage mesh. This is my 4th pair of FlipBelt compression shorts and I wear them specifically because of all the great storage for marathons.

Great pick for the basic needs in a "short" short
Got this at an Expo kind of doubting of the back pocket being able to hold more than 1 gel. I was prooved wrong, it hold well even with 5 units at my last marathon, while the ziper pocket is safe for car keys while training and salt / sportslegs while in long runs or races. Soon enough I will buy a new one while this collection exists and to use while the other one washes. I have 3 different generations of New Balance 3 inch and a recent Nike 3 inch. Each new version, less pockets,,.

Short, secure, comfortable
These are the shortest shorts I've owned. But they're also perfect for running, swimming or tanning. The belt part holds my phone securely while running. Also a gel or two. They're short, but that's good for true athletic style shorts

Too much bounce
I really wanted to like these shorts, was hoping they’d be a solution for carrying enough gels for a marathon. Unfortunately, the pockets are too low, so anything more than one singular gels bounces all over the place, and no chance of carrying a phone or water back there. The quality of the shorts is great, but I don’t know why they would let build the storage into the belt part of the shorts to make them usable

Needs a few upgrades...
The fabric is better than their Ouray Compression Shorts but the elastic waist band in this model is terrible. I have ordered this model from Amazon and Flipbelt and both elastic waist bands have come with damaged, exposed elastic fibers; both pairs were brand new.
The anti slip silicone is a nice touch to prevent the shorts from riding up, This has less pockets than the Ouray Shorts, you are losing the front storage pocket.
The main thing this shorts needs is a rear or side loop for a shirt, not a stretchy loop for a solid one that can hold your top while running. Great fabric and I love the anti slip silicone, but the lack of shirt loop and the quality if the waist band is what kills it for me. THE PRICE IS AMAZING! FLIPBELT Keep the price low and the quality high and people will come back and shop for more. This shorts are better than the pair of WOLACO shorts I purchased. Fix the quality of the waistband (make it the same waistband as the Ouray) and add a dedicated rear or side shirt loop (please do both) and this shorts for sure will be 5 out of 5!

Above average shorts for sure no chafing
I like the shorts just that the phone moves too much. So I have to use FlipBelt belt. It defeats the purpose of shorts

I thought I was a medium, turns out I'm an extra large.
They run small.I wish they offered an unlined version. When did running short manufacturers start assuming no one wanted to just wear their preferred underwear?

Late to the Party, but dang it... I love these things.
I'm new to the compression shorts arena. It was a confidence thing for me, but the more I saw dudes wearing them the more I wanted to try them myself. Running shorts either have all the storage you need, but are baggy for my little legs. The otherside of the equation is that they have no storage at all. I was over it, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. Insert Flipbelt...
A pocket on each leg for your phone and other items. The pocket in the back is perfect for your phone as well and all the gosh darn snacks you could ever dream of. A zippered pocket for your keys or headphones on the left is nice for peace of mind as you log miles. The grippers on the legs to make sure they don't slip is literally magical. Modesty pouch up front is a must, and they have it. The tie on the outside of the shorts in the front is exactly what I want too. I hate having the ties on the inside of my shorts. So that feature is oddly a huge win for me. There isn't as much room for gel storage on these as there are in the Ouray Compression shorts (I own both), but I do like these a tad better personally despite the lack of storage.
The only thing I do wish Flipbelt offered either in these or separately is a liner. I've rocked these up to 5 miles with nothing underneath, and it wasn't bad. But over 9 is a different story. I've worn something underneath ever since.
Another thing I will say is that when it's pretty hot and humid I feel like these don't dry off very fast from my experience. My shorts were SOAKED. So I transitioned my phone from my leg pocket to the back storage area, because I didn't want it to get moisture damage from how sweaty I was.
Finally, that price... bro. I can't even be upset with the price. For the amount of storage you get, features they have, how they fit, and how they feel as you're running. Win, win, win, and win.

Overall nice
Love all the pockets. Only complaint is that with the water bottle in the back pocket, or does pull the shorts down some.

Where’s the front pocket?
I feel bad criticizing these shorts, they really are a big improvement - lighter, a bit shorter, and better pockets. But, why would you do away with the front pocket?? It’s the only pocket that you can legitimately carry a bottle in. With the original shorts, I could race with up to a 500ml bottle without the bouncing being annoying, and it was really easy to access. These ones only have the rear and even a 250ml really bounces too much. Bring back the front pocket please!

Great features and quality
I really wanted to love these. I felt like the fit around my waist and hips was perfect and the material was great for hot weather.
But I have some circulation issues and my thighs aren’t the biggest but even at 25 inches the size large and where the cuff hit my thigh was just a little too snug with my POTS. Which caused me to have a little extra fatigue in my legs. But if they came out with a full length tight or a 5 inch version of these shorts, I’d be all over it.

Great! But sizing uncertain and lack a compressive feeling
These are a great value compression running tights. The material is light and breathable. The storage is probably unbeatable. So far, I have taken these for one 7 mile run in the summer heat.
THE GOOD
-This is the kind of product you forget is there. That's pretty much ideal!
-They stay put. With a cinch band and grip pads on the thighs, they stay nicely in place, again adding to being able to forget you have them on
-These have storage aplenty
-They were not hot to run in and I had no chafing
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
-These are not compressive; they fit quite loosely for tights
-The fit is a bit odd overall. I wear a 31" waist, sometimes a 30" putting me squarely in the M sizing, which is what I bought. These fit loose everywhere and I had to cinch them down on my waist. There was no compressive feeling on my legs either, with the material easily able to bunch
-Without a liner and with a non-compressive fit, there is quite a lot of room for parts to bounce around. That being said, I didn't notice any issues at 7 miles
-The phone pocket was also not really compressive. I do not have an XL phone, but if I didn't have a grippy silicone case on mine, I believe it would bounce around in the pocket
-I am left wondering if I should have purchased a size smaller

Their compression shorts keep getting better
I love FlipBelts compression shorts and they just keep getting better. I love having the two side pockets one for my phone and one for a water bottle.

Marathon approved!
Wore these in a recent marathon and they were great! Pockets are plenty big to hold all your fuel and tight enough so there was no bouncing. Fantastic shorts!

The Most Comfortable Shorts I Own
I have plenty of shorts, and these are so comfortable and feel great. I'm always asked, what brand are your shorts? I use them for mainly for walking, golf and casual wear.
I'm hoping that they will make a longer inseam in the future around 4 - 4 1/2" inseam. Then you can wear these great shorts for just about everything.

ZERO support
Short runs small -- listed as 3 inches but it's really 2. That's not really a big deal because they're meant for hot conditions. What is a big deal is that the lining is tissue paper and provides absolutely no support whatsover -- you risk a wardrobe malfunction in these.

Good for workout
Works great for workout but on race day due to heavy sweating and more gels, the belt was lose and zip was opening by itself

A must for summer running
If you’re looking for a pair of running shorts that have a comfortable fit, are breathable and have extra storage, then these bad boys are for you. I’ve been running these shorts for a couple weeks now and my wife is already ordered me a second pair. Definitely a win in my book and I recommend them to all my friends.

Great shorts. Not significantly better than most other regular short "elite" shorts, though. I think I'd like to see another version of these with a bilt in flip belt for carry water bottles, etc.... but these ARE great shorts, regarless.
Sizing Alert
This style runs a full size small across the board. Whatever size you'd normally wear in FlipBelt, size up one (e.g. Medium → Large) to get your usual fit.
